Establishing Blog rapport is not an exact science…

OH MY GOSH, the thoughts that are pinballing around in my head at this moment are too numerous to even write about in 1, 500 word article.

blog rapportSo, I’ll be ‘chunking it out’ for you in pieces that do address Blog rapport throughout this month of August.

Before I put the cart in front of the horse here, I’m assuming that you are WordPress.org Blogging?

I know I’ve mentioned this in past articles, but I cannot stress it enough the importance of having TOTAL control over your Blog & your valuable content.

1 of the essential ingredients of a Blog rapport recipe is the flexibility of doing what YOU want to do!!

You MUST be the 1 calling the shots, the 1 who is holding the power at ALL times.

Mindset is the core element of every action that takes place on your Blog in regards to the psychological side of things. It will dictate the type of energy that flows between your words & articles, then ultimately on to your readers.

Since every Blogger has their own unique style of writing, the type of Blog rapport that you project will be just as unique!!

This is your golden opportunity to push the envelope because you can. Test the water & see what kind of reaction you receive back. Don’t be afraid to dive into specific topics that you’ve been meaning to write about…NOW is the time.

On the flip side & equally as important when looking at the complete Blog rapport big picture is automation. Without mechanical functions working diligently behind the scenes, your battleship has sunk & it’s GAME OVER.

Enter the infamous plugin. I would like to show you 2 right now that, I think, play an instrumental role & aren’t in the spotlight as much as the more popular plugins are.

Comment Redirect by Yoast (Joost de Valk) ~ Redirect commenters who just made their 1st comment, on your Blog, to a page of your choice.

Personally, I’m taking my 1st time commenters to a ‘Thanks For Your Thoughtful Comment/Share!!’ page here on my Blog. >> Check It Out << . Remember, Blog rapport, taking them to a sales page wouldn’t make a good 1st impression at all.

Thank Me Later (Brendon Boshell) ~ Automatically send a Thank You e-mail to readers who comment on your Blog.

This plugin is 1 BAD Blog rapport builder, I’m lovin’ it too. You can schedule several custom messages to be emailed at intervals of your choice. So far, I’ve crafted 3 to my readers/commenters. 1st, immediately after comment. 2nd, 2 days after comment. 3rd, 5 days after comment. Perhaps, you’ve seen 1 or 2 already?

Have fun with this plugin & above all, BE UNIQUE…your messages are an extension of YOU. I haven’t seen too many Bloggers utilizing this 1, so leverage it to further elevate your value & personal brand across the Blog O Sphere.

    I’ll have to check out Thank Me Later – I haven’t tried that one. I love commenting on blogs that have Comment Redirect when it sends me to something cool after my first comment. :)

      It’s so wonderful seeing you back here. :)

      If we throw in that little bit of ‘extra’ communication that other Bloggers may not address, now that’s what I call ‘Rapport Building 101′. It’s okay to be in another persons face, but in a NICE way via followup emails. So, be on the look out for mine…lol.

      Comment Redirect rocks, it was suggested to me by Katie Freiling…she rocks too.

      You are so right, we must remain in ‘conversation mode’ as much as we possibly can…just like we’re doing now. Crafting followup emails is an excellent way to extend a conversation beyond a Blog visit, building further rapport as well.

    Great site Steven! My first visit :) I need to add the plugins you reference — I had someone else set up my blog and still haven’t added a plug-in…I’m a little gun shy..what’s up with that?!! Certainly, blogging is a great way to build rapport and since the UBC and Mastermind blogging, I’m becoming more comfortable about my ‘voice.’ It’s a thrill to get a comment :) I believe the tribe will follow….I only know how to be me! Thanks Steven!

      It’s really nice to finally meet you here, I want you to always feel welcome as well. :)

      You know, about 1 year ago, I wouldn’t have believed that I even could be Blogging like I am right now. I also believe in the philosophy of being a ‘learn it all’ & NOT a ‘know it all’. I’m a sponge online, some strategies & concepts sink in quicker than others, BUT, the most important thing is to just DO IT. Then, with repetition, that certain task becomes easier…you now have mastered it. NEXT.

      Keep on being YOU, don’t ever lose your uniqueness or inner child…your Blog should be full of YOU, your voice & your whole being. Of course, that is what will resonate with your readers/visitors & eventually friends.
